Baker Act Marchman Act |
|||
| Marchman Act Physicians and Licensed Clinicians may initiate an involuntary Marchman Act admission to Manatee Glens by directly observing behaviors that indicate that a person with alcohol and drug issues is a danger to self or others. Please call Manatee Glens Addiction Center at 941-782-4617 for further instructions and to relay patient information necessary to care. After initiating a Marchman Act, notify the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office to request safe transport to Manatee Glens Addiction Center at 2020 26th Avenue East in Bradenton. Manatee Glens has up to 72 hours to evaluate the person’s needs. If our psychiatrists feel a longer involuntary stay is necessary, they will petition the court for an extended stay.
