1955: First child guidance clinic in Manatee and Sarasota
1972: Second crisis center in Florida offering detoxification and psychiatric care
1986: First Medicare patient admitted to Manatee Glens Hospital
1990: Largest clinic in Florida offering breakthrough schizophrenia medication pioneered in Europe known as Clozaril™
1992: First outpatient detoxification clinic in Florida
1999: First 24 hour behavioral Walk-In-Center in Florida with no appointments needed
2000: Child abuse and neglect cases reduced by almost 50% through Safe Children Coalition.
2002: “Hospital without walls” opens after closure of state hospital, called the FACT Team
2004: Manatee Glens becomes a teaching and research hospital training 200 professionals a year and hosting inpatient clinical trials
2005: Manatee Glens goes in-home and on 24 hour call with the Children's Community Action Treatment Team to support parents in raising emotionally troubled children at home.
2007: Employee Assistance Program integrates employee wellness in with award-winning Manatee County Government health benefit plan
2009: Manatee Glens Addiction Center expands residential services to twenty-four beds adding services for impaired professionals and co-occurring mental health concerns
2010: Manatee Glens opens live call center where new patients speak to an admissions counselor about their concerns
