Centerstone offers both inpatient and outpatient care as well as on–site services for adults and with mental health, addictions or co–occurring disorders. We also serve children in foster care or awaiting adoption in the Safe Children Coalition.

In addition, Centerstone offers the largest specialty psychiatric practice in the region including adult, child, geriatric and addictions psychiatry. Our child and adult psychologists offer testing for diagnosis, intelligent, disability and other purposes. The Centerstone medical team offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care working in partnership with counseling and case management staff.

Adult Services

Centerstone provides comprehensive 24/7, community–based treatment and recovery to persons with severe and persistent mental disorder to live successfully in the community is also provided by the professionals at Centerstone. The Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Team is set up to be rehabilitative, and the recovery programs are geared to handle all of an individual's needs, providing resources including psychiatric, nursing and counseling care, as well as housing and medication management. Our day treatment program speeds recovery by providing a more intensive level of treatment than regular outpatient services. Our services include counseling, social rehabilitation and basic living skills, delivered in an outpatient setting without medical supervision. Centerstone offers these services so that health and wellness is possible for you and your loved ones!

Psychiatric and Other Mental Health Services

The Centerstone Hospital provides psychiatric and other mental health services for adults. Group therapy, individual and family therapy, as well as medication management are available to facilitate the individual’s return home. The hospital is a caring and safe place that provides 24-hour medical monitoring.

Addiction Services

If issues arise where addiction services are needed, Centerstone Addiction Center provides residents with the therapy, support and tools that sustain a personal path to recovery. The program focuses on individual challenges and triggers to support your personal situation. Located on a 16 acre former county park, we offer wellness and healing. Services include individual counseling, group counseling and education, leisure and recreation, spirituality, vocational counseling, occupational therapy, nutrition, expressive arts, 12 Step Meetings, and relapse prevention. Centerstone’s medical staff attends to co-occurring mental and physical health concerns.

Emergency Psychiatric and Addiction Care

For immediate care, the Centerstone Access Center provides assessment and screening services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for both voluntary and involuntary clients. This service works like an emergency room for psychiatric and addictions disorders. The goal of the program is to provide individuals and/ or their family members with timely assessments, crisis intervention and referrals to the most effective level of care.

Crisis Stabilization

If you or your loved one is in a crisis situation, the Centerstone Adult Crisis Center is a temporary and safe place that provides crisis stabilization services for adults and their families. Centerstone physicians examine and determine appropriate treatments for each patient. Group therapy, individual and family therapy, as well as medication management, help facilitate the individual’s return home.

Counseling

If inpatient is not determined to be the best avenue of care, outpatient services are also available through the Centerstone Outpatient Practices. At our four conveniently located practices, physicians provide individual and group counseling services adults and seniors, as well as, family therapy to address individual emotional and behavioral problems. Our counselors help with difficulties in many areas including mood management, anxiety, depression, family relationship issues, parenting, anger and substance abuse. We offer psychological testing to assist our patients in finding solutions that work for them.

In all of our areas of service, Centerstone provides a specialized professional team focused on your care. A traditional structure of services has been replaced with a comprehensive team approach that utilizes prompt engagement and service initiation, longer-term case coordination and acute symptom management, case management, individual, family and/or group therapy and medication management services. All services are coordinated to ensure interventions best match the client’s needs. Comprehensive assessments assist staff in identifying the priority needs and interventions of each client. Substance Abuse Outpatient Services provide individual and group counseling services to address alcohol, prescription pain pills, tobacco and other drug issues.

Urgent Care

Centerstone Walk-In Center is also available to you and provides immediate crisis intervention assessment and referral, and short-term counseling services for individuals who are experiencing personal or family crisis and trauma. This includes those people who are seeking mental health and/or substance abuse services. The Center is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. There is no charge for the first visit!

Centerstone also provides an intensive outpatient program which provides addiction treatment services in a convenient outpatient setting. Treatment is recovery focused and individualized to each person’s stage of change and phase of recovery. Medication assisted therapy is provided by Centerstone medical staff.

Rape Treatment

If you or your loved one has experienced sexual trauma, the Centerstone Rape Crisis Center offers hope and healing for victims of all ages and their loved ones who have experienced sexual trauma. Whether the assault was recent or years ago, our caring professionals help victims mend their lives. Advocates assist in coordinating social, medical and legal services related to the assault in the community, home or office. We support you 24/7. Counselors provide compassionate treatment for issues such as acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

An added service to you and your family is The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program which provides forensic exams for sexual assault victims as an alternative to the emergency room. Centerstone works closely with the local hospitals as well as the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Planned Parenthood and law enforcement to provide these services. Victims receive counseling, assistance and support through the legal system. We link you to help with victims' assistance funds. There is no requirement to file charges to receive services.

Victims of trauma need support as they heal. The staff and volunteers in Centerstone Rape Crisis program are committed, positive, open–minded, compassionate and supportive.

The Center is certified by the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, which signifies that the Center meets the highest standards of care. Children and Teen Services

Counseling

Outpatient services are available through the Centerstone Outpatient Practices for your child, teen or the entire family. Centerstone has four conveniently located outpatient practices where physicians provide individual and group counseling services for children and adolescents, as well as, family therapy to address individual emotional and behavioral problems. Our counselors help with difficulties in many areas including mood management, anxiety, depression, family relationship issues, parenting, anger and substance abuse. We offer psychological testing to assist our patients in finding solutions that work for them.

Specifically, the Centerstone Children’s Community Action Treatment (CAT) Team (located at 365 6th Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida 34206) serves families with children 11-18, with expanded services to age 21. Youth served may have emotional and/or challenges with alcohol and drugs. The Centerstone CAT Team provides families with support for youth with multiple needs. By utilizing a holistic approach, the CAT Team arranges or provides all services needed such as counseling, medication therapy, psychological testing and respite services. Individual and family therapy meets each family’s concerns. The CAT Team is available on-call to families 24/7 and 365 days a year. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening appointments are available and weekend appointments are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Additionally, the Regional Children’s Community Action Treatment (CAT) Team (located at 4010 Sawyer Road, Sarasota, Florida 34233) is a self-contained multi-disciplinary clinical team that provides comprehensive, intensive community-based treatment to families with youth and young adults, ages 11-21, who are at risk of out-of-home placement due to a mental health or co-occurring disorder and related complex issues for whom traditional services are not/have not been adequate.

The Centerstone CAT Teams provide family-centered services individualized according to the strengths and needs of the child and family. The team and family work together with a goal of supporting and sustaining the child or young adult in the most appropriate environment. This is our commitment to you and your family.

Family Services

When your family needs hope and healing Centerstone is ready to assist with our Family Concierge Support services to those in need of family–centered services, individualized according to the abilities and needs of the patient and family. A specialized team works together with the family with a goal of supporting and sustaining a loved one in the most appropriate environment with as little or as much support needed for health, wellness and safety. Services provided and/or coordinated by the team include: appointment coordination (can include transportation), pharmacy assistance, individual therapy, case management/coordination with other providers of care, crisis intervention & on–call coverage/support during business hours, family support network development, family care coordination, and transportation (on a limited basis).

Through the Safe Children Coalition, Centerstone family care coordinators work in conjunction with other community organizations to provide child welfare services for Manatee County’s youth. Adoption services are available.

The Safe Children Coalition (SCC) is collaboration between the Sarasota Family YMCA, Manatee Glens and other community agencies who together provide a continuum of child welfare services for dependent children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.  SCC provides community based care in Sarasota, Manatee and Desoto counties.

Physician Services

When a physician or faculty refers a patient to Centerstone, he or she can be assured that their patients are in good hands. We respect that this is your patient, and we are privileged to care for their mental and behavioral healthcare needs.

We appreciate your referrals and are here for inpatient and outpatient treatment at levels tailored to the patient's needs for mental health and addictions. This includes medication services, detoxification, counseling, therapy, case management, adult day treatment and children’s day treatment. Centerstone also provides psychological testing and evaluation services to children and adults.

Medical Services

Medication assisted therapy is provided for support in recovery from pain pill and opioid addiction.
